Illinois Governor, Pat Quinn Signs Legislation to Make Cancer Treatment More Affordable

Today, Illinois Governor, Pat Quinn signed legislation requiring insurance companies to cover oral chemotherapeutic drugs such as Imatinib, Dasatinib, Nilotinib and others similarly to those administered intravenously. This is a major step forward for our community and others that rely on cancer treatments that are orally administered. Similar legislation has been passed in a number of states and we hope to see this continue across the country.
